Dear, AMS Families,

Happy 2019!  We hope everyone had a restful and happy winter break.

I am happy to share that Arbutus Middle School has been selected by Baltimore County Public Schools to participate in the Associate Principal’s Program. This apprenticeship program gives highly effective administrators the opportunity to “shadow” a principal and engage in leadership experiences to prepare them to lead a BCPS school in the future.  The professional development experience also provides the opportunity for the host schools to benefit from talented leaders with unique skills and experiences from across the county. We are honored to be a part of it.

On Monday, January 7, Mr. Matthew Sullivan, current Assistant Principal from Pikesville Middle School, will join us for a two-week shadowing experience followed by two weeks leading targeted initiatives aligned to support our School Progress Plan.  He will also work with our Administrative and Leadership teams to lead daily operations of the school until his end date of February 1.

We are excited to have Mr. Sullivan visit and learn about AMS and experience all the great things we do to support the learning and growth of all our Eagles.  We welcome Mr. Sullivan to the AMS team!
